D-Zolve™ 917 for Depainting Silicone Masking Plugs
D-Zolve™ 917 is a fast acting, safe paint and powder coating depainter. Designed for use in an immersion tank at low temperatures, D-Zolve 917 removes paints and powder coatings by penetrating the cured layers and breaking the bond between the coating and the substrate. D-Zolve 917 eliminates the need for costly burnoff, blasting or heating to high temperatures.
Easy-to-Use
D-Zolve 917's unique properties enable it to penetrate several layers of a coating when parts are immersed in the solution. D-Zolve 917 softens the finish layer, breaking the chemical bond that adheres these layers to the substrate's surface and causing the layers to delaminate and fall to the bottom of the tank.
While many strippers require heating to temperatures as high as 200°F to be effective, D-Zolve 917 only needs a low temperature of 135-140°F.
D-Zolve 917 is able to quickly remove cross linked coatings, epoxy primers, polyurethane top coats, powder coatings and other difficult to remove coatings without requiring any additional steps. Heating to 140°F and agitation of the D-Zolve 917 solution can be used to facilitate the removal of difficult to strip coatings.
D-Zolve 917 can be diluted with water or used as a concentrate. Solids that drop to the bottom of the tank can be filtered out to extend the depainter's useful life. Diluting and filtering help keep replenishment costs to a minimum.
Minimizes Health and Safety Hazards
Designed to minimize both health and environment risks, D-Zolve 917 is non-flammable, non-toxic and noncarcinogenic. It has a non-offensive, minimal odor and does not contain any ozone depleting components.
Material Compatibility
D-Zolve 917 can be used on a wide range of painted ferrous and non-ferrous metals including: aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel and carbon steel as well as plastic and silicone substrates.
