D-Zolve™ 3251 Coating Remover for Plastics
D-Zolve 3251™ safely strips paints, powder coatings, top coats and other surface finishes from plastic substrates without the need for expensive equipment or processes. Designed for stripping decorative and protective coatings from plastic substrates such as ABS, polycarbonate, TPO, Nylon and other resins, D-Zolve 3251 renders a clean surface for rework while maintaining the integrity of a component's molded plastic surface.
Easy-to-Use
Developed for use in immersion tanks, upon contact with a surface D-Zolve 3251 immediately begins penetrating the paint or powder coating layers breaking the bond between the plastic substrate and the surface layers. The layers of paint or coating peel away from the substrate and drop to the bottom of the tank. After stripping, components are removed from the tank and water rinsed. Air blow off can be used to accelerate the drying of rinsed parts.
D-Zolve 3251 is able to quickly remove cross linked coatings, epoxy primers, polyurethane top coats, powder coatings and other difficult to remove coatings without requiring any additional steps. Heating to 140°F and agitation of the D-Zolve 3251 solution can be used to facilitate the removal of difficult to strip coatings.
Cost Effective
Unlike many other stripping products and processes that require costly specialized equipment, or consume large amounts of energy to heat the solution to high temperatures, D-Zolve 3251 is designed to keep equipment investment and energy consumption to a minimum.
Salvage Damaged Parts
D-Zolve 3251 makes it possible to salvage components with damaged or defective surface finishes. Surface finishes can be easily and safely removed by simply placing parts in an immersion tank filled with D-Zolve 3251. D-Zolve 3251 interacts with and removes the surface layers, but not the plastic substrate.
Once penetrated by D-Zolve 3251, the damaged surface layer separates from the plastic substrate, enabling a new finish to be applied to the surface. No brushing or other abrasive process is needed to remove the surface finish so the integrity of the molded plastic surface is maintained. When removed from the immersion tank, parts are ready for refinishing without the need for any other rework.
Designed for Safety
D-Zolve 3251 is designed to provide a high performance, safe alternative to other strippers. It is non-flammable and non-carcinogenic and contains no halogens, chlorinated or air polluting components.
