- Dissolves Powder Coating at Room Temperature
- Fast Acting and Long Lasting
- No Ozone Depleting Potential
D-Zolve™ 1012 Powder Coating Dissolver
D-Zolve 1012™ is designed to efficiently dissolve hard-to-remove powder coatings from intricate part shapes. It is used in an immersion tank at room temperature, no heating. Additionally, waste solids can be automatically filtered out prolonging the useful life of the dissolver.

Compatability
D-Zolve 1012 works with most ferrous and non-ferrous metals and can safely remove powder coating from galvanized steel, aluminum, zinc, copper, carbon steel and stain-less steel. Do not introduce water into the tank. Water will degrade the D-Zolve 1012.
Fast Acting
D -Zolve 1012 is a fast acting powder-coating dissolver. Factors that determine the dissolving time are thickness, uniformity and type of powder coating. Ambient temperature also affects the time required to remove the coating. The higher the ambient temperature, the less time required. An ambient temperature of 68°F/ 20°C is sufficient.
D-Zolve 1012 penetrates the powder coating, dissolves the bonding agents used in the powder coating and reduces the coating to its powder particles. The solid particles drop to the bottom of the immersion tank while the pigment dye and bonding agents may remain suspended in the D-Zolve solution.
Easy to Use
D-Zolve 1012 is designed for use in an immersion tank at room temperature. It does not require any blasting, scrubbing or scraping. Agitation is highly recommended. Agitation can be achieved by having the parts basket move in an up and down motion or by circulating the liquid to generate friction with the parts. Agitation also helps prevent the dissolved powder from lingering on parts. Once parts are removed from the tank, any remaining residue should be rinsed off with pressurized water.
Prolonged Service Life
To minimize loss through evaporation D-Zolve 1012 is designed to evaporate very slowly. Keeping the tank covered and filtering out powder particles during the stripping process can further extend its useful life.
Safety and Environmental
D-Zolve 1012 is readily biodegradable, does not contain known carcinogenic contents, and contains no chlorinated or other ozone depleting components. It is recommended that local exhaust ventilation will be used. For other information read SDS prior to use. Flash point is 170°F.
